Colombia is such a unique place, having emerged from years of tourist oversight as a place too risky to visit. One of their contemporary marketing campaigns by their government – “El unico riesgo es que te quieres quedar”; or The only risk is that you might want to stay – perfectly summed up what most people were thinking about this wonderful country, but inverted the sentiment. And it’s proven true! An absolutely hospitable place with great scenery and generously warm people who only want to share with us what we’ve been missing all these years. It’s just now blossoming as a destination for those in the know.
